The Montessori Advantage

The Montessori Advantage is a (mostly) unbiased panel discussion about what Montessori is, why it works, and how it benefits children from preschool through 6th grade.

When: October 5, 2017 from 6:00-7:30 PM

Where: Desert Montessori School, 316 Camino Delora, Santa Fe, NM 87505

Who: Anyone who is interested in learning more about Montessori and whether it’s a good fit for your family.

The panelists will include Desert Montessori Executive Director Phoebe Walendziak, Pre-K/Kindergarten Lead Teacher Melia Lewis, and Elementary Lead Teacher Nicole Richardson.

Special Guest: Lyndi Spears, Director, New Mexico Center for Montessori Education

Spears has worked in the Montessori community since 2003 as an Early Childhood Classroom lead and more recently as the Director of the New Mexico Center for Montessori Education working to train and certify Montessori teachers. She is also a Montessori Consultant, Instructor, and Mentor.

Spears works with a wide range of children coaching Mathematics using the Montessori Math curriculum and methodology. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband and two high school aged children, both of whom received Montessori education until the end of elementary school.
