What to expect

Thank you for your interest in Desert Montessori School, a warm and stimulating modified Montessori environment for children ages 2 – 12 years old. One of life’s most satisfying and long-lasting lessons is for a young child to experience his or her capabilities in a respectful and attentive environment.

We are dedicated to introducing meaningful creative opportunities where children explore, develop, integrate and expand to their fullest potential. Our curriculum is sequentially designed, enhancing a child’s current abilities and expanding them to wider interests and perspectives.

We are lucky to be able to offer rolling admission to many of our programs. Please note that students must be two years old at the time of enrollment to attend DMS. We invite all of our applicants to visit the classrooms into which they would be enrolling. Applicant visits vary in length, depending on the age of the child and the grade for which they are applying. Applications are accepted at any time. However, we encourage families to enroll by the enrollment deadlines as many of our classrooms fill quickly.

Submit your application and pay the $80 application fee. Submit previous school transcripts if applicable.

We will email you a follow-up questionnaire to decide if DMS is a good fit for your family, and will request any relevant transcripts, progress reports, or previous teacher information.

If we have room for your student, we will send you enrollment forms for you to submit along with your $600 in enrollment fees.

An enrollment start date is agreed upon.

Your student beings school! The first 30 days of school are considered an observation period to help the child and family transition, and ensure that DMS can provide a successful educational experience.
